Michigan Pet Sitters and Dog Walkers was founded by Roberta & John Chapman of Comfy Creatures Dog Walking and Pet Sitting (est. 1998). They found themselves always being asked if they knew a good pet sitter in areas they did not service. While they knew some of the pet sitters near by, they didn't know sitters in all areas they were asked about. And while they could refer them to other directories, they knew that not all pet sitters are insured / bonded, something they felt a professional pet sitter should be. They also knew that other pet sitters had the same problem when needing to refer a client. So knowing the value of networking and liking the idea of promoting pet sitting statewide, Michigan Pet Sitters and Dog Walkers was born.

My name is Dana Swanson and I am the proud owner of Personal Pet Pal, L.L.C. which serves all of Livingston and a small portion of Oakland & Washtenaw counties. I plan and arrange most of the meetings/events for South East Michigan area.

After many years in the corporate world of restaurant management I had decided with the encouragements, love and support from my husband, family and friends to not only do what I had a passion for, but to do what comes natural to me: caring, nurturing, loving and taking care of animals.

I am thrilled to be in an industry that goes above and beyond for the welfare of pets. YOU’RE pets, YOU’RE family members, YOU'RE loved ones, YOU'RE best friends.
